Triathlete Camping

We went on our camping trip to LaPine State Park this weekend and it was lots of fun. We stayed in the tent with Maya and Jeremy's parents stayed in their trailer beside us. Maya seemed to like the fresh air and slept pretty well. It was a little difficult for me because I had to use the bathroom in the middle of the night (pregnancy!) but all in all we had fun!
Maya and I saw Jeremy compete in a Triathlon in Bend on Sunday and we were able to meet up with some of his other family members that were there cheering on his sister and cousin. Here are a few shots of the event itself. He was at the front of his wave for the swim and did pretty well with the bike and run too. Overall we are so proud of Jeremy/Daddy for a job well done! Congrats to Sister Gina and Cousin Heidi on a great job as well!
While I was waiting for Jeremy to return to the transition point from his bike-ride, I bent down to pick-up Maya's binkie and bonked my head (pretty hard) on a steel bar that was holding up the plastic gate. It caused a dent and a small scar on my forehead but thankfully I didn't need to go to the hospital or anything. I used some of Maya's wipes to clean up the mess on my head and then used alcohol when we got back to the truck so that it didn't get any worse. It hurt pretty bad for a while. How weird is it that I, the spectator, was the one to get hurt. Funny!

Jeremy is the third person here, with the long sleeved wet-suit on.

Here he is after the swim getting ready for the bike-ride

Heidi was so cold and mixed-up from the swim that she started to put her helmet on backwards
