Where Have All The Socks Gone?

Can anyone enlighten me? I do loads of laundry and most of the time mine and Jeremy's escape without injury, but where do Maya's and Declan's socks go? Is it perhaps because they are too small and the washer eats them up? Is it because my kids find them in the clean pile of laundry before I fold it and hide them on me? I feel like I am always buying socks. Does anyone else feel this way?

This happend shortly after Maya was born too and the washer stopped working just because of Maya's tiny little sock. Yes, that is a piece of our washer beside her in the picture. Don't worry - Jeremy put it all back together!

I remember this picture. Don't you know that washers/dryers eat socks. It's a known fact - HA, HA! Seriously, I don't think ANYONE has figured out yet what happens to socks when you wash them. It's almost like some Bermuda Triangle in the washing machine or Dryer (I'm not sure which. You MAY find them someday, when they are grown out of them. Good luck!

I'm with you Tammy. I just finished doing laundry and I probably have at least 10 socks without there matches. I think my kids take them or don't put both in the laundry. But the adults socks I don't know. Maybe it's the sock fairy.

I hear ya! I have found baby socks rolled up in my pockets still damp before. Really irritating. Its like somehow they get stuck in there during the wash, and never fall back out.

I was thinking of doing that too. It would probably keep everything organized too. MUST try...:)

We have a bin in our laundry room for odd socks. I go through them about once a week and usually most socks get matched up again. But there are always a few that just seem to disappear!
