Big Projects

It has become a slight obsession of mine - I will admit it. It may annoy Jeremy, bring excitement to the kids, and make me a little stressed at times, but it is all worth it in the end. What am I talking about?....decorating. Just when I thought that there was nothing left to do in our house, I start revising ideas in my head. Now that Declan is becoming more of a toddler, we are thinking about redecorating his room. Last weekend we purchased his BIG BOY bed, even though he is no where near ready for it. Unlike Maya's, Declan's is a double bed. We thought long and hard about this and decided that it was the perfect scenario. After all, a double bed is perfect for guests too. So, along with a new bed comes bedding, a new dresser, and possibly new curtains. And to top it off, I have been a big procrastinator with Maya's room. I have been meaning to paint her name on the wall for months. So that is on the top of my priority list for this weekend. Next comes the kids' bathroom. The walls are STILL white and I really need to get them painted. We have A LOT of paint colors to choose from because there are a lot of full cans of paint in our garage from decorating other rooms in the house. I am thinking about creating a couple of fun photos of the kids to put on the bathroom wall too. In the end, I have my weekend cut out for me.

I bought some baskets from the dollar store last night and I plan to organize our junk drawers in our kitchen and possibly revise the location of all dishes to make it more manoeuvrable in there. I am praying that the kids allow mommy and daddy to get some work done this weekend because it is well overdue!

That cartoon is what I call "organized confusion." Good luck getting the stuff done this weekend.
