Surgery went great. Didn't even realize I had been put to sleep.
So now, between wakefulness and sleep, I have decided to highlight the things that has helped me through my recovery so far...
1. My beautiful husband who took time off work to take me to and from my appointment. He has been watching over the kids and treats me like his princess. He even made me a blueberry & yogurt milkshake for breakfast this morning. This wonderful man is my sweet angel and I am so thankful to have him.
2. Flowers: I arrived home and just minutes later I received flowers from my surgeon. Then I receive a call from him later in the day to see how I was doing. What a caring doctor!
3. Muscle Milk: This is the best way to get protein when all you can eat is soup and yogurt. We got a carton of it from Costco last week.
4. Drugs: anti-inflamatories, anti-nausea, antibiotics, and pain-killers. All VERY GOOD!
And the thing that got me through the rest of the day....
5. Prayers from my children: On my way to surgery Jeremy told Maya that she needs to keep me in her prayers and right then and there she prayed a prayer for my quick recovery. Because Declan can't talk much, this is what his prayer sounded like....
"Da Goh, mmaaham ducklukah, Amen!"
I have been blessed. Now it's off to bed again.

That's Declan speaking in tongues. HA! It's nice that you are teaching your children to pray. Glad you are doing okay. Good job Jeremy!
Kids praying is so precious!! Glad it went okay and you are on the mend!
