Ringing in Another New Year

Since moving to Newberg, we have had snow around Christmas time. This year it came a few days after Christmas Day when everyone was back to work. Jeremy left his office in Portland early (around 4pm) to beat the weather but it turned out that some roads were closed and the Interstate was just crawling. It normally takes him 30-45 minutes to get home but on this particular day it took him 5 hours. Needless to say he was hungry and nearly out of gas when he got home. Thankfully he arrived safely. The next morning, we took a picture of our driveway...
(Not a lot of snow but enough to stop traffic here in Oregon!)

The kids and I decided to enjoy some time in the snow before it completely melted away...

On to a different story, enough is enough when you have to spend 30 minutes blow drying your hair! I just couldn't do it anymore. I chopped it off...not as short as I was hoping and not the style I had asked for but at least I am not spending all that time getting ready to go someplace. I do not have any great pictures of it but here are some fun pictures from New Years Eve. We went to my friend Amanda's house. We played ROCK BAND and just mingled the whole night. The kids did really well in Amanda's playroom with the other kids that were there. They barely made it to mid-night though. We left her house at about 12:15am. Thankfully we only live around the corner from her.

The men decided to try doing pull-ups on the laundry room clothes bar. Jeremy probably could have done 30 or more without breaking a sweat but he stopped after 5 or so.
Then it was Declan's turn!
(FYI: Ladies, don't try this at home! I honestly believe that only men can do pull-ups. I did half of one and could not continue.)
Maya found a toy guitar in the playroom and decided to "play" Rock Band with Jeremy and Isaac.
And here is a picture of the toy room. Sorry for leaving so early Amanda. I hope this didn't take too long to clean up!
All in all...we had a fun-filled Holiday. Happy New Year to you all!

I bet the kids had a field day in that playroom. So funny seeing Maya trying to join in rock band. Glad you had fun on New Year's eve. Now we just need to see a picture of your new haircut!

It took me 5hrs to get home from work that day too! I was miserable, I had to pee and was having contractions. Thankfully I didn't go into labor. :)
Glad you had a fun New Years.
