Changes: Lots of pelvic pain, cramps in legs when I am sleeping, and lack of sleep.
So the baby is almost ready to come out. At my doctor's appointment today, I was 3 cm dilated and 50% effaced. When I left, the doctor said "I'll see you next Friday, if not sooner!" I was shocked. I thought I would be a little more dilated but not that much. I think I was still only 1 cm when I went into the hospital to be induced with Maya. She came 12 days after her due date, so maybe I will be lucky and this one will come early.
I have a lot of work to do in order to get ready for the baby's arrival. I don't even have any bags packed yet, or the infant car seat in the car. Perhaps we will do that tonight. I think I have already started the nesting phase because we are now able to close our linen closet door. We had so much stuff in there, it was crazy. We bought all new towels and stored the old ones away in a bathroom cupboard, just in case we may need them some time. Because we don't know what we are having, it makes it a little difficult to organize the baby's closet. Right now we are using it as Maya's closet, but if we have a boy, we will have to transport her clothes into her new bedroom. I have to say that not knowing what we are having has made it a little challenging, but it is still exciting too.
Now, instead of checking off my to-do list, I must take a nap.

Someone once told me when I was pregnant with my second to enjoy every little minute(even being uncomfortable), cause having a baby is far more work than being pregnant! It was true but I know how hard it can be to think about that when you are so excited for the new little one and are so incredibly uncomfortable! Try to take it easy and get a little rest. Oh, and since you are already 3 cm dilated, maybe packing the bags isn't such a bad idea, lol! Good luck, can't wait to hear all about the new little one!
OMG how exciting!! When I was 3cm on thurs they said they would see me that weekend..sure enough I went in sunday and I was 6cm and had Devyn monday morning!! Wish that one would wait till the 30th--Devyn's first bday :-) I hope you arent too uncomfortable! I know how the end can be..anxious about meeting the new one and in a lot of discomfort! Hopefully the new lil one with be ready to reveal him/herself! Do yall have a nickname you call him/her? I know sometimes people do that when they dont find out the gender..I told hubby I want to not find out for our next one..I watch baby story and they always say that there arent many good suprises in the world so we should let that be one of them..I cant wait to find out the gender of the baby, the name yall picked out and if he/she looks like maya!! I will be thinking of you and praying for a easy safe delivery!! Keep us updated! xoxo Diana
Tammy! Wow, I was 3 cm dilated when I went to my doctor the morning I went into labor!!! It's going to be really soon!! :)

I was 3 cm dilated with Zach and my labor was really short, so keep that in mind as you wait to get everything ready. I hope as I write you are in having your new bundle welcomed into the world!!
