Project Weekend

This has been a successful weekend of home projects...

This was the kids' bathroom upstairs when we first moved in. It was white and boring:

We painted it ELUSIVE BLUE this weekend and added a shelf that I found at Bed Bath and Beyond...

We bought shelves for Declan's new big boy room. We are going with a graffiti-industrial theme. I also bought new BLACK curtains for his room. It's bold, but just what I was looking for...

This picture was given to Jeremy as a gift when he lived in Hawaii and we've been wanting to put it up on the wall. The surfer in the picture fits in with this new theme in Declan's room.

I finally painted Maya's name on her wall, but before I could even start, my dear sweet engineer of a husband insisted that he do some calculations so each letter was proportional. Don't ask me where he got his numbers!
I also found some cute craft diamond embellishments that I added to the top of the "M."

I found a cute little shelf to put above our master bath too. It holds our bath salts, aroma-therapy bath powder, and candles.

We have had these black Ikea shelves in storage for years so I asked Jeremy if he could put them in our office space. It works out well and I am praying that it helps keep us more organized.

All in all, it was a FULL weekend that was not without stress...but it is all done and we are all ready to relax a little. Now it is time to watch the OSCARS!
Happy decorating friends!

I never would have thought of putting blue and purple together. Looks really good. Maya's wall is beautiful. It's kind of hard to see because of the colors, but I'm sure that it is easier to see in person. Great job on everything. Oh yeah, in regard to the calculations, I'm sure only an engineer would understand it. lol. Great job guys! Looking forward to seeing it all in LESS THAN 4 MONTHS!!!!
