BUSY HOME TRANSFORMER & PARTY PLANNER

We were up until 1am last night installing a new chandelier in our dining room. Jeremy did most of the work while I put pictures in frames and stayed glued to our gigantic television. I was a little concerned that the TV was too big, but I think I am getting used to it now. We watched American Idol on it last night and it really felt like we were right there in the audience. I'm looking forward to many more lounging-in-front-of-the-TV nights with my hubby. The bad news is we are now spending more time downstairs near the kitchen, which means eating more. This has to STOP! I mean, do I really need to eat sorbet AND fish crackers at midnight? I don't think so!

We are having some friends over on Saturday night to celebrate my upcoming 31st birthday. ZOIKS! It seems like just yesterday I was packing my bags to leave home and move across the country (Canada) to go to university, and that was 12 years ago. Where has time gone? Anyway, I don't normally have birthday parties and I knew Jeremy is not really interested in party-planning, so I decided to invite people over myself....yep...brave huh?! Nothing like an invitation to say "LOOK AT ME I'M GETTING OLDER!" However, I clearly indicated that gifts are not to be given, instead - chocolate! It is a Death By Chocolate party and everyone has to bring their own chocolate dessert. I'm looking forward to gaining a pound or two over the weekend (not really)!

In the midst of home transformations, party planning, and publicity designing, I managed to catch a few pictures of the kids yesterday. Unfortunately they were really squirmy so it was hard to get both of them to smile at the same time, but maybe their expressions add character.
(Maya wanted to wear her Tinkerbell costume).....

Sorry we can't make it on Saturday. Have a great birthday celebration and eat lots of chocolate without feeling any guilt!!
