This year, it seems like I started decorating for the fall season long before the leaves started falling to the ground. Last year we purchased this great wreath from Costco that we can use year after year. Inside the house are the same decorations as last year as well...leafy garland with baby pumpkins and squashes covering our fireplace mantel. Of course it seems to help a little that one of our accent colors in our living room is orange anyway.
At the kids' pumpkin farm party this year, we each got a pumpkin. I usually let the kids decorate their own pumpkins instead of carving them so this year I decided to try something that I saw online....mod podging tissue paper to the pumpkins. Maya did very well with hers and needed very little help finalizing her pumpkin (the larger of the two decorated ones in the bottom picture). Declan on the other hand, needed some help....especially after his glue brush seemed to mysteriously attack all of our clothes. In the end they turned out great. It was fun having my friend Sarah, her daughter Kestyn, and her neice Lane over as well. It was all around a great learning experience for all of us.
Note: Jeremy wants to carve his pumpkin and I am hoping to gut mine and plant flowers in there...hopefully we get this done before Halloween;)

Great ideas! Those are some lovely pumpkins!
Cool pumpkins!
Extreamly cute!
We bought a Costco wreath this year. I think it's a little different, but I love the way it makes the door look so festive! Fun idea to decoupage the pumpkins with tissue. Gotta love the fall time!
