You Will Always Be My Babies

As if standing in the sun in my driveway for 7 hours was not enough to cook my skin, we decided to forego all yard and household projects to spend the day at the beach. After a successful garage sale on Friday, I noticed my neck and shoulders starting to tingle. It was very difficult to sleep peacefully that night. Then, the very next day we decided to head to Pacific City to enjoy the ocean view and sand between our toes. After lathering Jeremy and the kids in sunscreen, there was hardly enough left for me. So yes, I burned again (especially on my forehead). It was a fun day in the sun, but I will be sore for some time to come. Oh Aloe Vera, where for art thou?
These pictures amaze me. As a young mother, I was always told that kids grow up fast, but I guess I am just now starting to realize this truth. When we first moved to Newberg in April 2008, Maya and Declan were still babies. Take a look at these photos taken at the beach in July 2008 (just 3 years ago):
It brings tears to my eyes to think my babies can now fly their own kites at the beach. Where does the time go?

So sweet! Looks like a beautiful day at the beach! I love looking back at pictures of my kiddos and I am always amazed that the time has flown by so quickly!

Yep they are REALLY growing. You have some great pictures of the kids from every stage of their lives. But they are certainly getting cuter as they get older. But that may just the grandma talking. I'm sure it's not though.

Love to all, Mom
