What Do You Do on a Day Off?

Today I have the day off. That's right folks...a day off! Every mother needs one from time to time and this will be my first day off since I had my surgery just after Maya was born (9 months ago). Jeremy's parents have the day off too and decided that it would be fun for them to spend the day taking care of Maya so that is where my beautiful angel is right now - with grandma and grandpa.

In planning for this DAY OFF I started to think of all of the things that I could do to fill-up my day and then I remembered - it's my day off! I should pamper myself. So I made an appointment at the salon in town to get my hair done. Thankfully I have had enough time to search through some magazines to find a cool hair style because I am planning on going short. Okay, well maybe not too short, but short enough to notice the difference. I am just getting BORED with my look and I need to switch it up a little. I will post a picture when I return home.

I will also be going to the gym today - something I am never able to do during the day because they don't have daycare service at my gym. I usually cram a 45 minute - 1 hour session in at night after Jeremy gets home from work so it will be nice to take my time and get more done today.

26 Week Update:
Yesterday I saw the baby's head as he/she stretched out. It was weird seeing my belly move so much because Maya wasn't really like that. Maya had a lot of hiccups but this one is a wiggle worm! I am still wearing my wedding rings and my ankels are not swollen yet. It's hard to believe that I only have 96 days left until my due date!

I would give anything to be able to take Maya for a day. Not only to give you guys a break, but just to spend time with her. I hope I can do that someday. Boo Hoo!!!!
Make sure to post pictures of your new hairstyle. Looking forward to seeing it.
Love you, Mom
