Two Year Old Diva

It is official - we now have a two year old. Today is Maya Marie's birthday and as soon as she woke-up I asked her "How old are you today?" and she replied in her Pretty Certain tone: "Two years old." It is amazing how much she has grown-up. She can carry on a conversation with us now and we usually understand each other. She is already potty-trained, except for nap and night-times, which is such a blessing - except when she has to go when we are in the middle of shopping and it is just the three of us. It's not easy taking a double stroller into a bathroom or having to take both kids out as I leave the stroller outside the family bathroom while Maya goes potty. But we manage and it is getting a little easier anyway. I have learned that everyone needs to make the adjustment, not just Maya. She has not grown much over the last few months. She may be growing taller but she is certainly not gaining much weight. I am guessing that she is still around 24 lbs or so. Her brother is close to that too I'm sure. So when people stop me to ask if they are twins, I am beginning to understand why. Maya is healthy though - just very active as well. She is such a girlie-girl. Make-up, dress-up, shopping, and baby-dolls. And to top it all off, she has acquired a new taste for Hannah Montana, or as she likes to call it Hannah Antana. She is a pretty confident little girl too. We went to her cousin Johnny's football game yesterday and Maya started roaming around the grandstand while the game was going on. She made her way to the side of the field where another team of 12(?) year old boys were getting ready to play and she walked right through these 2 lines of boys waving and blowing kisses at them. Can you say FLIRT? I wonder where she gets all of this from!!! She keeps us laughing.
