I have come to discover that our little angels love tenting. Yesterday they wanted to play with some toys while tenting in Declan's crib. Today they wanted to "cook" so I relocated Maya's kitchen and made a big tent for them in her room. After making so many forts for the kids, I have started to realize that fitted bed sheets (the ones with the elastic in them) are the best to use because they simply stretch over the sides of the furniture you are using. However, this is not a full-proof method when you have a 14 month old boy who believes it is his duty to destroy any canopy overhead that is within arms reach. It is definitely worth a try though because for many busy moms tenting can be the only 15 minutes of saving grace you will get during the day.
We are all looking forward to camping season!

That's a good idea - fitted sheets. I remember when I was young, I always wanted to take the groceries out of the cupboard and fridge and play store with them. Mom didn't let me do it much, but when she did, I was so excited. Imagine a little thing like a tent can make so many people happy - the kids AND you, even if you just get a few minutes rest, it's worth it. By the way, I hope you're planning on taking the tent when you go camping this summer. I don't think the sheets will work outside - HA!
That is a good idea! My girls love forts. It is a great way for them to be entertained with out TV!
