Remodel

With reference to the salon remodel currently taking place, I feel as though I am entitled to revise my contract. I assume no responsibility for killed, ignored or poisoned bugs. I would also like to assume no responsibilty for mis-treated, damaged, or refurbished items. That said, allow me to provide you with a timeline of my weekend.

Saturday:

5:50am: WAKE UP so Sarah could pick me up at 7am to head up to Sherwood to work on salon remodel.
10:30am - 1:30pm: Sarah and I play around with the kids while our men work on the molding.
1:30pm - 4:30pm: Snap-line and Paint top of walls.
5pm - 7:30pm: Spend time eating and getting kids to bed.
8pm - 1:30am: Sew, Staple, and start on home projects

Sunday:

7am: WAKE UP to Declan's cry
8am - 10:30am: Finish said projects from Saturday night
11am - 6:30pm: I worked on the salon myself - painting molding and edging walls
7pm - ??: I came home, tagged Jeremy and that is where he is right now....finishing the painting and installing the molding

I only found out on Saturday evening that my in-laws are actually returning home on TUESDAY at noon instead of Wednesday as I had originally thought. This means that we have been working non-stop to get this project done so they can come home to a bright new hair salon in which my mother-in law can work. I am convinced more now than ever that those HGTV and TLC remodeling shows are rigged. Do they really remodel a room in 24 hours? I suppose it could be possible if you do not have 2 kids to watch, and you have a crew of 6 people helping out. In any case, I have come to realize that remodeling is A LOT of work!

I wanted to share something that is not work related. I was reading a book to Maya when I was putting her to bed tonight and at the end of the book it says ABCs and 123s. Then Maya sits up in bed and counts "One, Two, Three, Four, Five!" and then she looks at her hands and says "Five and Five make Ten!" Our two year old is already doing Math! Her love of numbers must be a gift from her daddy.

Time to relax and put my feet up.
